‘AP Thailand’ unveils ‘3 new service innovations’

KATSAN – HOMEWISER – YourNextU Aims to build new standard for better quality of life

Bangkok (10 June 19) – AP Thailand, a leading property developer and initiator of a blue print of good quality of life for everyone in society under “AP WORLD: A Vision for Quality of Life”, today, unveiled three new service innovations: KATSAN, an intelligent personal guardian 24/7, HOMEWISER, a personal home advisor with a preventive maintenance concept and YourNextU, a learning innovation that follows what it calls Learning Buffet Model.  The firm aims to create a new standard for society through products of its investment in independent businesses that are managed by teams of professionals under CLAYMORE and SEAC.  These innovations were created and developed using Stanford Design Thinking to meet a number of unmet needs.  They will be used in pilot efforts to lift up the life quality of AP customers and the company is open for the general public to benefit from the innovations.

, Chief Corporate Strategy and Creation, AP (Thailand) Group said, “Following our announcement of AP WORLD: A Vision for Quality of Life which aims to draw a blue print of good quality of life for tomorrow by diversifying into other businesses to be more than a property developer, today is a good starting point for AP Thailand Group to deliver on the promise to create good quality of life for society with our newest three service innovations that are the products of Thai innovators.  They are KATSAN, HOMEWISER and YourNextU and they answer our needs for 1) tomorrow’s security 2) preventive maintenance and 3) people development education.  These innovations reinforce the main mission to build a new living standard.”

The three service innovations were created by CLAYMORE and SEAC.  They are teams of specialised Thais who worked independently from AP using Stanford Design Thinking as the main tool to develop these innovations to meet unmet needs.  CLAYMORE developed two main service innovations called KATSAN which offers an intelligent personal guardian 24/7 and HOMEWISER which is a personal home advisor in pursuit of preventive maintenance.  SEAC is an AP business tasked with developing knowledge and the quality of people in an organisation and society at large by creating a learning innovation like YourNextU.  It is a learning innovation and eco-system distinguished with its Learning Buffet Model.  This model allows for unlimited learning with more than 300 courses - online and offline - to develop people potential and capabilities all around.  We will have pilot use of the three service innovations to improve the quality of life of AP customers and will offer them for the general public – not limited to just customers living in AP’s residential projects so as to be in line with our intent to improve the quality of life of everyone in society,” said Mr. Vittakarn.


CLAYMORE’s innovations for home security and preventive maintenance are:

  • KATSAN - the only quality of life design innovation that serves to bring security management in a residential project to a new dimension. With an understanding of the unmet needs involving the screening of outsiders entering a project coupled with the use of modern technology like computer vision and reliable AI processor, KATSAN offers an intelligent personal guardian 24/7, one equipped to sift and take care of security in every dimension of living in a residential property.  It reduces errors that may occur from negligence and takes advantage of security matrix, including smart entry-exit processing through recognition of car registration plates and many other security management functions linking together the user, the property management and the security team to the residential project’s main database to ensure prompt operation and acknowledgement of the three components.      
  • HOMEWISER - a quality of life design innovation that offers peace of mind for home maintenance in a new dimension. Fully equipped to be a personal home advisor throughout a living period, it is distinguished with a preventive maintenance concept complete with such services as home health check and planning where all data are recorded systematically using a database that is easy to access by the homeowner and the service team.  It takes care of your home before damage occurs with automatic advance warning when equipment or home systems reach their maintenance cycles.  Supplementary services are also available to the resident on demand. 

Ms. Nipatra Tangpojthavepol, Executive Director, SEAC as ASEAN’s first and only lifelong learning centre, said, “SEAC wants to play a part in building a lifelong learning society where everyone can learn and develop themselves anywhere at any time.  Today, digital disruption is making people’s knowledge and skills quickly go out of date and become irrelevant.  Many have started to recognise the importance of reskilling to keep abreast with the changing world. Hence, we intended to create and design a learning innovation and ecosystem to help reskilling and responding to changes in the world, lifestyles and learning styles of everyone regardless of gender and age as we look to continue the mission to deliver good quality of life for everyone in society.”


YourNextU is the world’s first design innovation to disrupt education.
Distinguished as a world-class education service, the Learning Buffet Model ensures learners can learn endlessly and repeatedly with no limits to classes and more than 300 world-class programmes offering a mix of learning approaches, including 1.
